§ 18-174. Application to new and existing conditions.

The provisions of this Fire Protection Code shall apply equally to new construction as well as existing conditions in current structures, except that existing conditions which are not in strict compliance with the terms of this Code or any code adopted under this Code shall be permitted to continue such condition(s) where the exceptions do not constitute a distinct hazard to life or adjoining property.
